Home8 Users Can Now View, Manage and Control Both Honeywell Wi-Fi Thermostats and Home8 Devices from One Mobile App

FREMONT, Calif. – June 8, 2016 – Home8, a new venture by MivaTek, today expanded its capabilities as a complete smart monitoring and protection platform by announcing compatibility with select Honeywell Wi-Fi Thermostats. With Home8, users can now view, manage, and control both Honeywell Wi-Fi Thermostats and Home8 devices from a mobile device. The Honeywell addition to the Home8 smart security ecosystem coincides with the company’s mission to provide a multi-user, multi-location, multi-hub/device user experience under a single mobile application.

Using the Home8 app, users with select Honeywell Wi-Fi Thermostats have the ability to:

  • Turn on/off – heat, cool, or auto
  • Assign temperature set point (heat or cool)
  • Turn on/off – fan or auto
  • View current room temperature and humidity

Also, the Home8 premium service allows additional authorized users to control the thermostat and/or control thermostats at multiple locations. For example, family members heading home now personally have the option to have the house cooled down or heated up before they arrive. Users can also have access to their thermostat at a vacation home or other property and control the temperature setting while away or adjust the thermostat remotely for guests who may be staying there.
